I think so too. He's in a terrible position. The truth is, Canada is in a terribly vulnerable position. We aren't without allies, but most of them are preoccupied with keeping trump from pulling the rug out from under Ukraine rn. What a mess.

Some are going to see this as capitulation/weakness, and it's not necessarily. With all due respect to the Swedish prof, I think his take is a little off. It looked and felt more like an intervention than a supplication. Europe, like Canada, has grown dependent on the superpower ally that the u.s. has been. Now Europe is increasingly flexing their muscles. Hope that continues.

I think my kids are conflicted about which holiday they prefer, Christmas or Halloween. Every year we do a spooky walk in the backyard and I try to add new elements to surprise them. This year is going to be tough though so we'll see.

Having fun sourcing surprises for my daughter's next birthday. She has a Fall birthday & this year she wants a Halloween theme. I'm allowed to go quite spooky with it, evidently. I've already found a vintage witch Barbie & she'll be thrilled. (She refuses to buy new Barbies because Mattel is u.s).
