Exactly. Even though charms weren’t exactly my thing, even as a kid you could appreciate the effort. Hit that niche level between cereal prize and Bazooka Joe comic.

To be fair, you probably could’ve said that about Cracker Jack any time for the past 90 years and still be correct. They are a long way from peak consumer excitement.

I remember getting this book new for Christmas. Read the heck out of it, although I didn’t own any of the games and have only played 1 (or 2?) of them (years after)

They are. I discovered this about 3 years after donating it and a couple of Atari 2600s and 100 or so games. I’m the worst geek ever.
