My ability to mask has gone totally to shit; all my coping mechanisms are disappearing in a haze of overstimulation, sleep deprivation, and inability to leave the baby/not pump for longer than 3 hours.

I’m frustrated that I didn’t know I had ADHD till I was 8 weeks pregnant, because if I had known earlier I could have been on meds pre-pregnancy and then maybe I could have kept taking them postpartum. Instead I can’t start anything till I’m not exclusively breastfeeding.

Nope. I was in active labor and after two failed tries to place the IV, the nurse admitted defeat & called in a more experienced person to do it.

There is also a new med specifically for lupus nephritis (kidney lupus) and the health educators can speak to navigating insurance and getting the company that produces the meds to pay for them/getting a reduced price. (Full disclosure: I am on maternity leave from LFA lmao)

That sucks! If you want a (not-officially-medical-but-highly-informed) place to start on lupus, the Lupus Foundation of America (www.lupus.org) has a lot of info & a health educator line you can call or submit a form to with questions about what tests drs might run, etc.

I went upthread and the OP does say they know people can use other bottles- they are more angry about the hypocrisy of a pumping company dropping ring/nipple & pacifier production and saying it’s to support breastfeeding, when actual breastfeeding practice is more nuanced, as they should know.

Same on not getting the issue and wondering what I’m missing. It takes an extra step & additional bottle+nipple to decant pumped milk into a different bottle, which isn’t as seamless, but doesn’t sound catastrophic. Maybe the issue is more with how Medela threading is one of two standard configs?

Y’all should buy this, it would be worth it at double the full price, let alone this sale, easily the funniest game I’ve ever played
