Β Rub your hands over these pale buttocks, sand-smoothed by time. Β Note my milk-white limbs like washed up whalebones, stranded and useless. Β Consider these tufts of hair on my back and shoulders sprouting wildly like sea-grass. Β And listen to the lapping of my socks at the shores of my sandals. Β And still you ask me if I am beach body ready? Β Brian Bilston
Iβve been in training all year - and Iβm glad to now finally declare myself beach body ready.

06.08.2025 19:48 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0IS WATER A GOOD OR A BAD THING? Pros: - Makes baths more enjoyable - Quite useful for baptisms, I suppose Cons: - Facilitates 100% of shark attacks - Less delicious than apple juice - Culpable for the Titanic disaster CONCLUSION: As we can see, there are three cons and only two pros. This proves that water is a bad thing. This does not necessarily mean that we should get rid of all the water but we should certainly consider it if we are serious about reducing maritime disasters.
For centuries, people have wondered if water is a good or bad thing. Now, thanks to data, we can finally make a definitive assessment

Black and white photo of two black cats by a window. On our left one sits in loaf position on a window sill scratching pad. He is looking out through the glass. On our right the second lies on her side on a curved shelf roughly in the middle of an 8ft cat tower. She is looking off to our right and has her paws extended out over the edge slightly.

29.07.2025 19:10 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Not martyr, not metaphor. Just breath made unbearable. The dust held his shape a moment longer than justice allowed. A stillness not born of peace, but of a rifle's decision to rewrite the land in silence. Some men walk with a tenderness that unsettles walls. They name the trees. They listen to ruins as if they still speak. He was one of those, the kind who believes the horizon can be taught like language, like memory. But this is a place where belief is punished with precision. Where names are erased before they echo, and grief must pass through metal gates. So now, one fewer voice to tell us what the stones remember. One more grave in a field that still waits to be whole. And still, we do not forget how the air once bent around his presence. Or how even in dying, he made them afraid of gentleness.
In memory of Awdah Hathaleen, a teacher, activist, and voice of peaceful resistance killed by an Israeli settler while defending his village.
He was not a symbol, yet his life and death speak to the cruelty of occupation and the quiet strength of those who endure it.
Political cartoon. Gazan woman holding a skeletal baby tugging on Trump's jacket from behind. Trump is wearing blinders that say "ME". He is saying, "Please I'm focused on a more important issue."

Fledgling goslings. They are a very odd shape and their wings seem far too big for them

26.07.2025 16:40 β π 378 π 52 π¬ 32 π 14A political cartoon by Ben Jennings for The Guardian. It shows two obviously starving children sitting on a pile of rubble that features a limply-draped Palestinian flag, each holding an empty pan. The child on the viewer's left pats the child on the viewer's right on the shoulder and says, "There, there. Apparently it's all rather complicated."
A screenshot of today's headlines from The Guardian. It includes: βHungry aid staff faintingβ as starvation spreads in Gaza and truce hopes fade UN agency for Palestinians says βentire humanitarian system is collapsingβ as ceasefire negotiations fall apart and BBC, AFP and other news outlets warn journalists in Gaza at risk of starvation Reuters and AP among those urging Israeli authorities to allow reporters in and out of war-ravaged strip
If starving children don't cut through it for you, how about aid workers starving while they try to help starving children? Journalists starving while they cover the starving aid workers trying to help the starving children?
Israel has become a terrorist state.
βItβs getting to be that timeβ β Trump gives Israel carte blanche to brutalize Gaza
