All 29 weighing in simultaneously would be historic and depending on the unity of the decision be an incredible feat to rebuke even by the Supreme Court at least optics-wise.

The 9th circuit is exceptionally large. Nearly twice the size of the next biggest circuit the 9th has 29 judges compared to 17 in the 5th. Most circuits operate around 9-11 judges.

The 9th would normally do a pseudo en banc actually called a *limited* where 11 randomly chosen hear a case.

That might be true in most circuits but not the 9th. If its full en banc then this will be the first time ever for this circuit. They have never weighed in like this before.
