They use these exemptions to draw eyeballs to their tournaments, and they often go to golfers with name recognition at the expense of those without. It’s a mercenary practice but the players are fully aware of how it works…

When accountability eventually comes for these people, they could be convicted based on all of their own posts and interviews alone, never mind what comes from investigations and discovery, and the perjury they’re going to spew trying to disavow all of it…

How does someone become like this? She’s not dumb, though she says many dumb things. She knows better. Presumably there was a time when at least part of her would be horrified at what she’s saying. What life journey full of choices lands here? And it’s not just her - there’s so many of them!

It remains to be seen what information in the leaked emails is factual (probably a lot IMO), but one thing is certain: there is absolutely no way in hell Trump and his water boy Johnson can prevent the files from being released now

A former neighbor was an upper manager in the Customs Service when they got folded into DHS after 9/11. New uniforms, stationary, vehicle decals, policy manuals and related training, etc. Millions and millions just in his regional offices.

So we go back to when everything was a “pre-existing condition” and then *individually* negotiate insurance coverage with *multiple* providers (as entrepreneurs do), based on our particular cocktail of conditions. And our leverage? “Fine, I‘ll take my $2k elsewhere!” Yeah, that’ll work…

@durbin.senate.gov As a constituent I implore you not to vote for a temporary funding package. A promise to hold a vote on the ACA is completely meaningless coming from a party that does nothing but act in bad faith. Voting for this package will eliminate any leverage Dems have and will not save ACA

Airlines know they won’t be held accountable for this. In the meantime, scarcity of flights will bump prices. When the shutdown eventually ends, and capacity returns, do you think prices will fall back? More flights at higher prices = more profit. A very messed up incentive structure for them…
