Anyone recall the pull-up scene from “Sixteen Candles”?

As a kid he was by far my less favorite artist. It wasn’t uncommon for me to return his comics back to the rack.

One of my favorite DC covers from that time period.

In earlier years I was definitely a Marvel Zombie but by this point I was only buying Spider-Man on a regular basis. Ah, those teenage years…

And the biggest drop off between TV seasons has to be between seasons four and five. The idiotic storyline of five makes it unwatchable.

With that biography I would guess that “The Doors” wasn’t his favorite music group.

Just wondering on the logic behind the career team totals naming. Kaat is listed with WAS but Killebrew is listed as MIN despite Killebrew’s much longer WAS tenure.

Interesting that his worst playoff GAA was in 1970-71.

I’m guessing that a large percentage of the folks here have no idea what that is next to your right elbow.

I do understand the whole “first set” thing. I’m sure there are folks that have the same feelings for the 62 set…

I remember watching that pitch on TV and screaming “Nooooo” as it was half way just knowing that it was going to get crushed. There was never a more “batting practice” thrown in the WS.

For me both the 87T and its cousin the 62T are the bottom two sets of their era due to their faux wood design. Ugly!

If the Silver Slugger Award was around in Brett’s PIT/PHI days then there would be a good chance he would had won it. So that kinda gives Brett both two top rows, lol.

For some unknown reason Alyea was one of my favorite players as a kid. He didn’t play for any of my teams or anything. Just weird.

I wonder the last time anyone ever had a 200+ card stack of raw T205s or T207s. Certainly not a common occurrence in 2025.

As a kid his 70T card with the dark batting glove always bugged me. Did Leo Cardenas throw really hard or something?
Reese is also a poster kid for the peak 27 age theory.

In all of my years watching baseball going back to the early 1970s I would easily put Mike Aldrete as the king of those plays. No one else comes close.

I still remember the day I brought this comic as I was out with my mom and she wanted to stop at the fabric store and to keep me from going nuts waiting for her we stopped at the nearby 7-11 to get me something to read. I still have that copy in my collection.
