Just singing in the rain, a tree sparrow on the arch of the wisteria feeder. It perches there most of the day providing entertainment heard through an open window.

Purple moors are a sight of the past, now you have to search for sparse patches of heather. Much of the moorland looks like a razed war zone. It needs to be shouted loudly.

Later joined by great tit, tree sparrow, linnet and blackbird families; the air full of flitting hither and thither.
