Just singing in the rain, a tree sparrow on the arch of the wisteria feeder. It perches there most of the day providing entertainment heard through an open window.

Purple moors are a sight of the past, now you have to search for sparse patches of heather. Much of the moorland looks like a razed war zone. It needs to be shouted loudly.

After a slight overnight dampening, bluetits were first to party with swift visits to the feeders, then enjoying their beakfuls within the hawthorn hedge sanctuary. Later joined by great tit, tree sparrow, linnet and blackbird families; the air full of flitting hither and thither.
