Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma is real fun. Absolutely love getting excited over finding a simple recipe and then spiralling down a loop of harvesting > crafting > upgrading > socializing. There's so many little things to account for and it's super satisfying to watch it all bounce around and grow

Ran the Mythic difficulty missions in Edge of Fate last night and I'm gonna be real, that was so damn easy. The way folks were talking I expected nails on a chalkboard tear my hair out difficulty. There were a few way too tanky enemies but for the most part we breezed through, maybe 10 wipes total

Genesis is 2 player so lmk if you want a partner when you get to it. Never finished it and never got to play coop

DS2 is one of my favorite games ever, and Genesis is severely underrated. Interested to see how they handle having all 4 of them, if it'll be co-op, free character switching, or prescribed moments where you play as each. Poor Strife never getting his own game, but I'd rather this finally happen

Pie in the sky dream world is having a virtual console app dedicated to preserving Pokemon games, allowing people to easily build a living dex, and rotating old events in and out. You've got 30 years of history, use it!

Continues to drive me nuts how precious and/or not worried they are about past Pokemon game availability. Top selling franchise in the world and only the most recent generations are readily available digitally. Why are the GBC games at the very least not on Switch?

Yeah I was looking for suuuper basic guides for someone just getting started. Stuff like subclass verbs and a weapon perk primer that shows how they work and what to look out for, but without getting too in the weeds

There's tons of build guides, but stuff like subclass verbs largely are unexplained in a condensed, beginner-friendly format (and if they are, the guides are outdated). The best part of D2 is tinkering with the pieces, but a lot of guides just assume you know the pieces already

And I'm not sure you get this level of vitriol or backlash without a fairly unhealthy game-to-player relationship. Live service needs that constant engagement to survive, but the constant engagement inevitably leads to very unhealthy patterns and attitudes

one of the worst parts of live service games is the way they make people so addicted to the loop and treadmill that the most minor things can become massive blowups in the community. Some of the reactions I've seen to super minor changes in Edge of Fate are unhinged

Immediately intrigued. We need more survival games that are focused on exploring and braving the elements instead of immediately trivializing that stuff in favor of PvP and/or building some big silly fort.

Superman good. It's cool to see superheroes do things because they believe in good and kindness, and also for the goofy stuff to be treated earnestly without embarrassed self-referential jabs. Gives me Raimi Spidey vibes in some ways
