I have learned that there are one million types of accordion and it's deeply confusing and I guess you just have to pick one and then that's what you play 🤷🏻‍♀️ the buttons on the other side are probably chords/bass

Well I just started a month ago, and I'm playing button accordion rather than piano accordion, but I'm having a lot of fun! (I originally also thought of accordion bc I played piano, but then I decided on button....)
