yeah, an actually well-crafted show coming from an Intellectual Property feels such an incredibly rare thing. there are just so many ways it could easily be ruined. i’m trying just to enjoy that it’s one great, mostly self-contained season of TV, even if future seasons are bad

yes! this show succeeds because it places character, story, and theme above lore, references and easter eggs. those things are there, but they’re not the priority and you don’t really miss anything important if you aren’t in the know
