Budapest Pride goes ahead, defying Orban threat of 'legal consequences' Tens of thousands have gathered for the LGBTQ march in Hungary's capital, despite a police ban and warning from PM Viktor Orban.

“Tens of thousands have gathered for the Budapest Pride march, defying Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban's legal threats against LGBTQ rights activists.”

Solidarity with everyone marching at Budapest Pride today. It’s beautiful to see so many people resisting authoritarian politics.

I don’t think the old Onion, when it followed the herd and didn’t charge for its work, meekly becoming another digital ad space, would have done this. They’ve got their balls back. Nice.

It will call Christmas “crispmas” forever, like Mavity in Dr Who.

I can’t work out if our brains are like swans or icebergs. Most of it goes in underneath. Perhaps our brains are enormous ice sculptures of swans, made out of icebergs?

My brain writes songs when I’m driving, free-thinks best when running, and solves crossword clues I’ve been stuck on, while sitting on the loo.

I love the fact that no one gets that we’re trying to stop it “kill”in our industry, which is constantly one of the strongest sectors of the economy.

Yup. I find the same with writing (my job). A story is dead on the page and you’re stuck on it. You ask your brain to do something else and it usually fixes the story problem half way through cooking the pasta. Brains are literally mental.

My elderly and quite religious mum and dad, decided to support their local comedy festival. The show they chose was K&TheG. I’d love to have seen it. This makes it all the funnier as my dad has always been an active Liberal Democrat.

Yup, I’ve started on Quick Cryptic. Can usually finish that by the end of Saturday and spend the rest of the week working on the Quiptic. I’ve got about 3 more clues done since getting the D-word. My favourite thing is staring at a clue for hours, then glancing at it later and getting it immediately

I’m new to cryptic crosswords (this is last Sunday’s (I’m THAT new) so hopefully no spoilers) but is this normal? Obviously I guessed it, because I’m a child, but my monocle fair popped across the first class carriage when I checked it and it was right! Writing to Daily Mail as we speak.
