Virus made me quite ill + dealing with the DWP = also really ill.

My head is a mess, my stomach is a mess, I keep melting down & dissociating. I'm generally in no fit state to be awake.

Normal rat service will resume when things/I are stable again.

Boo's cocktail of meds; an antibiotic (Baytril), an ACE inhibitor and Furosemide for pre-existing congestive heart failure, and a steroid and cabergoline for the PT.

My little Boo is making a comeback.

Her PT meds have kicked in and she's feeling SO MUCH BETTER!

She's eating well and using her hands again 😊

She's on quite the cocktail of meds now!

This is horrific too! I'm so sorry your family members are being put through such a prolonged mess.

Seven weeks sleeping on my sofa, two weeks decant in a hotel with another three & half weeks decant in an apartment. Half finished repair work, contractors leaving lights on in rooms plus left my flat unlocked. that’s for starts plus as of today have to again sleep on my sofa. Stage two in coming!

I too am sorry to hear this is still going on. The level of incompetence is horrific!

I've always believed that small pets are entitled to the same level of care as any other pet & I was lucky enough to find a Vet with a special interest in small furries when I started out (in 1998).

Rat Vet care has come a long way since then; I like to think we've played a part in that.

I've trained my Vets to be rat-savvy, been going there since I first started being owned by rats, so now they're very good and I usually get the appropriate meds and stuff. Expensive but worth it for my wee friends!

Being able to hold her is nice, when she came to me she was pretty much feral!

I've dealt with a lot of PTs over the years, they are super common in rats (they are super common in humans too but you don't tend to hear about them).

This is how I prefer to spend my Mondays!
