This is so spot on. Although for me it’s not really taking care of myself (dr appts aside) it’s my kids. I do occasionally push myself to do “Work” but I, and my household suffer for it, even when it’s something fun like painting a picture is the “work”. It’s unfair.

All I have for lunch today are loads of mini cathedral city cheddar blocks and an apple that’s seen better days. Can someone please go to the shop for me?

Online outrage does not get replicated in real life. Maybe it’s the safety of anonymity that allows people to speak out against Epstein and friends but it wasn’t just elite who were aware as it happened and they did nothing and aren’t doing anything beyond furiously hammering a phone screen

I speak to people who struggle to believe that nobody cares enough about the wellbeing of women and girls to do anything about the Epstein files but they also didn’t do anything to stop the behaviours of the inhabitants of the files. They looked on in silence then and maintain silence now.

It remains amazing to me that everyone treats Epstein, Cosby, Weinstein, Diddy, Andrew Tate, etc each as these individual cases instead of being capable of connecting the dots that we live in a society that allows/enables/celebrates sexual violence against women and girls aka rape culture.
