We took this handsome boy to the emergency vet yesterday because he had one pupil that was tiny and one that was normal. Turns out he just had a scratch on that eye, so the Cone of Shame and some antibiotic eye drops should do the trick.

I also have a (younger than yours) ex-ranch horf who was sold to me because her hooves were too soft for their terrain. She is always full of woe when I won't go take her to go find the cows we can hear in the distance every summer.

Some plants in an overgrown flower bed - asparagus, rhubarb, roses, and a spent gladiolus.

I ended up having three locations of baby asparagus come up, two have three stalks and the other has only two. We haven't done anything with them besides provide regular watering, but this definitely gives me hope for future years!

You make me want a freeze dryer so bad! And tiny kitchen/no pantry issues aside (my house is stupid!), they are so very far out of my budget and our vehicles keep needing repairs 😭

This was supposed to just be a way to use up some extra threads, so I didn't have a clear vision of what it was going to look like.

Thanks! It needs some small replacement parts (and a belt, obviously), before I can attempt moving my machine to this new cabinet. It appears to be a Davis, with a chain mechanism to raise and lower the machine from opening/closing the lid. I need hinges and this round plate piece.

Fun fact: every firefighter in the town we lived in was absolutely DELIGHTED when I showed up at the station with my very excited little boy in his costume. Kiddo STILL loves trucks and tractors.

The ones that have firefighters on staff, yes. The all-volunteer ones, no. I used to take my son pretty often to visit fire stations when he was little & I was told just ring the doorbell and if they're there and not busy, they LOVE showing off the trucks and our taxes pay for them so don't be shy.
