How did Vancouver’s west side elect Wade Grant and Dallas Brodie?
Vancouver’s west side is now provincially represented by an MLA who openly mocked residential school survivors and by a federal MP who grew up on the Musqueam reserve.
It’s an indication of how pushback against Indigenous rights have become a right-wing political theme — and communities' reactions.
