11.12.2025 03:56 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0very cool that every day now there are a bunch of stories where i think well i canโt post what i think about that without violating terms of service
11.12.2025 01:19 โ ๐ 512 ๐ 71 ๐ฌ 6 ๐ 0The thing that gets me about this is that even if we wanted to make a positive AI ad, they never showcase AI being used to enhance someoneโs day or improve their workflow. Thereโs no โit allows me to more easily do what I love.โ Itโs always presented as a failsafe for the dispassionate and incurious
11.12.2025 00:53 โ ๐ 2290 ๐ 459 ๐ฌ 38 ๐ 12Wire's Pink Flag, Chairs Missing, and 154 are 3 of my favorite albums of all time. Their stuff post-154 is great, I like Newman's solo work a lot, Dome is great; peaks and valleys sure, but almost 50 years of vital music seems impossible.
Its not.
But a show built around writers block would be diabolical.
*spent 6 hours staring outside, feeling defeated*
*writers block? that's bullshit. no such thing.*
- massive fight ensues. ratings gold.
I'm giving myself a prize for recognizing this as a joke.
10.12.2025 23:29 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Starting to think I'd like a "Grand Juries are America's Strongest Soldiers," t-shirt or similar.
10.12.2025 23:18 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0This workload sounds more like Kelsey Plum launching it into space; does a t-shirt cannon even have this much power?
10.12.2025 23:16 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I only used it at work. When work's policies changed and they removed the players, I stopped using it. Had an account, never had it on a personal device. (I'll check music out on Bandcamp now, and if I like it I'll buy a cd.)
10.12.2025 23:10 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0It's the perfect comment because everyone in the area is entirely familiar with that spot.

10.12.2025 14:56 โ ๐ 13 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Thank you, my dad liked DaVinci too. I've worked with gouache a little in the past, not really much with watercolor, but just ordered a few Graham and Harding tubes to try out.
Anyway, I've liked seeing your work.
How do you like them?

10.12.2025 01:29 โ ๐ 10 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 2 ๐ 0Absolutely. There's no sense of "god, everything I do is derivative garbage," pushing you to improve your writing, because everything it does is derivative while lacking that self-awareness.
me: why's everything like I'm trying to rip off F. O'Hara?

i just reposted this but I really just want to say that the $8/mo I spend on the Handbasket is one of the best investments I've made in indie journalism ever
09.12.2025 23:17 โ ๐ 190 ๐ 40 ๐ฌ 6 ๐ 0I guess I find it funny because it's a movie about a guy demanding every stitch be perfect and Vicki Krieps comes along and just slowly unravels DDL over the course of the movie.
09.12.2025 19:41 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0It's my favorite PTA, though I've not rewatched it recently. For me, most PTA movies revolve around childish & domineering men, who're all red flags, seeking women who will put up with their shit. Phantom Thread follows the same basic pattern until the man figures out he wants to be dominated.
09.12.2025 19:35 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0What I appreciate about video content is I can see just how long it takes me to go from "they seem nice," all the way to "what the fuck? Oh no! Oh no!"
Here it was 1 minute and 26 seconds.
A photo I took of two very poorly parked cars. One has the rear axle over the line, another is so far from the forward line that half of it is in the driving lane.

09.12.2025 19:04 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I think we were the best run, and managed, school of the entire group. But the delight in new Admins and fancy titles affected how much better the college could have been; I firmly believe this.
09.12.2025 17:14 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Hell, I worked for a community college for a few years and every cost-cutting measure involved reducing faculty and staff while, strangely enough, increasing Administrators and creating new titles for them.
We had six cc's and an online university for Admins to bounce back and forth between.
