Finally: AI cannot do your job, but an AI salesman can 100% convince your boss to fire you and replace you with an AI that can't do your job, and when the bubble bursts, the money-hemorrhaging "foundation models" will be shut off and we'll lose the AI that can't do your job, and you will be long gone, retrained or retired or "discouraged" and out of the labor market, and no one will do your job. AI is the asbestos we are shoveling into the walls of our society and our descendants will be digging it out for generations:

What a mystery, really.
Spotted that the new OK Go video was made by Will Anderson. His 'Have Heart' was screened in Brum ahead of the British Animation Awards a few years back (he won!) and it made a room full of folk collectively "aw": www.itsnicethat.com/articles/wil... (embedded video at the bottom of this article)

A 14 panel comic, a top tier of five panels shows a drawing of me, and in each of the subsequent panels the drawing of me gets simpler and simpler, with a cartoony drawing, a crude cartoon, then a stick man, then a smily face then a simple blob. Each time I'm saying "Hi" Tier two, panel one, the smiley face is sad and saying "PJ! I can't draw!" "How can I make comics" Panel 2, me as a simple cartoon "Oh that's ok, comics work..." panel 3, me as a very crudely drawn figiure my head tilted at a funny angle and Im saying "No matter your skill level" Panel 4 more simplistic drawing of me holding a ruler "As long as you can (sorta) draw a straight line " "(I use a ruler)" Panel 5 even more simple drawing "And a bubble" next (final) tier Panel 1 A simple circle with two dots for eyes and a small line for a mouth and a balloon coming from his mouth saying "People can be quite forgiving about the artwork" Panel 2 the round simple face meets a spikey simple face, spikey says "I'm not - I like GOOD artwork" me - "Oh" Panel 3 me (still a smiley face, but straight line mouth ) I have two stick arms raised up with little stick fingers and I'm saying "...Sorry..." Spike says "Bah" Panel 4 (last panel) Me, slightly better drawn (but only just) "OK - not everyone is quite forgiving about art" "BUT I AM" "Good luck!"
A comic about making comics (the alt text took longer to write than the comic did to draw * I drew this a few years ago)

Overlap's always enormously recommended - the nights are lively, fun and welcoming (I've never been an animator, just an appreciator) and they always showcase brilliant stuff that you often can't find online.

1. Be famous
2. Ideally, be good at writing
(This now also scales for podcasting, too.)
Impossible to know the details from a story like this, but - assuming it's broadly true - anyone who thinks LinkedIn is a 100% factual record of someone's career needs some worldly wisdom and/or media-literacy training, pronto. That's before we even get to the privacy stuff.

Most experts acknowledge that a takeover by artificial intelligence is coming for the video game industry within the next five years, and executives have already started preparing to restructure their companies in anticipation. After all, it was one of the first sectors to deploy A.I. programming in the 1980s, with the four ghosts who chase Pac-Man each responding differently to the player's real-time movements.
This is an insane thing to write about game development. www.nytimes.com/2025/07/28/a...
29.07.2025 02:10 β π 7874 π 1290 π¬ 425 π 1151Most of the internet used to be like this. This is actually the default, it took companies enclosing the internet and adding weird, soul-killing incentives to make people behave the way they do now. In a way, there is truly nothing special about Wikipedia except that it survived longer.
26.07.2025 17:28 β π 22376 π 8035 π¬ 144 π 158Solution is simple: Switch off the planet burning plagiarism machine that drives people insane and tells them to eat glue, instead reinvest in Flash and bring back little tie-in educational games for kiddies on the CBeebies website etc
