Turning HIV’s power against itself may help target hidden virus – another step towards a cure Researchers used selected molecules to make human cells less tolerant of damage, so that reactivating hidden HIV becomes a clear trigger for cell death. While making cells more vulnerable to dying may...

It really is staggering to see so many people willing to abandon our 249 year experiment in democracy for an increasingly unstable criminally convicted reality show charlatan.

(Just realized I was mixing up laptops...so deleted prior reply.) The last WinXP laptop I held onto, the battery bloated.

I still have a Win7 laptop that got bricked from a forced update (in 2016 I think). I later got a fix and this fall when I used it, it still works save the Ethernet port.

At first I wasn't sure if what was happening was linked to a recent vaccination. The continued temp yo-yo here is not helping me be sure either way.

We do still have a lot of pollinators visiting here, though plants still in flower seem to be starting to feel the night temp dips.

Your vote has impacts years later.

Your no vote causes harm for years. And it can take decades to force change.

It’s simple and true: vote every time. That’s the only way change happens.

This needs to happen in every single blue state...in every single state, for that matter...every state that actually values human life.

Really needing every single cis to understand that loudly asking a trans person questions about (or just generally bringing up) their transness in public isn’t only rude and invasive, it’s dangerous.

Reminder that not being a bigot and/or anti-human rights is not a purity test. It should be the bare minimum for a candidate to get your consideration.

Harm reduction is about personal and situational risk-related behaviors, not which marginalized population we are willing to sacrifice politically.

27 years ago, two years after the introduction of effective HIV treatment, the Bay Area Reporter, San Francisco’s lesbian and gay community newspaper, ran ‘No Obits’ as its headline.
It was the first edition not to report an AIDS death in almost 15 years.

Have we considered paying educators more? Is this a thing that has been tried yet? If not, maybe we should give it a whirl.

An anonymous person has messaged me with the following message "if you start getting a lot more messages to the Squid Facts Hotline from California area codes: that's my fault. I'm using the Squid Facts t-shirt to chat people up in the gay leather bars of San Francisco. it's working better than I expected it to. i'm sorry." and I reply "UM. Hell. Yeah Hell. yeah." and the first um and hell yeah are in all caps and the second just the first hell in the yeah is all caps for the sake of emphasis

America’s CEOs come to the White House bearing gifts and flattery Tech industry CEOs have lavished gifts, flattery and attention on President Trump. The administration has rolled out industry-friendly policies.

This is revolting and corrupt. I’ve had to decline when someone offers to pay for my meal when I’m at an event / meeting with private sector folks because feds aren’t allowed to accept gifts in excess of $20.

Meanwhile…

The cover image of the Winter 1996 issue of "Anything That Moves: The Magazine for the Bisexual At Large, Covering Gender and Sexuality Prix Fixe to A La Carte". There are three people on the cover standing side by side -- a Black woman with short spiky hair and dark-rimmed glasses, a white or Latina woman with short dark hair wearing a jacket and tie, and a white man with a thin face and a shaggy blond haircut wearing a dark vest. They are holding up the Newsweek "Bisexuality" issue (which also has three people standing side by side on the cover) and looking at it with puzzled and skeptical expressions.
