The #NoKings event I went to was literally designed to be family friendly. There were babies and dogs there! I will laugh at anyone who complains about me posting pictures of myself there.

The fact that people turned out in huge numbers to protest in Minnesota even after a right-wing chud assassinated a Democratic member of the legislature is a good example of why we are going to win.

Energy matters in politics. It especially matters for Trump. Today, all the energy was with the pro-democracy team. Republicans in Congress should be very worried.

Let me say this: if you are scared, get out and protest. There is nothing that gives me more hope and charges my courage like being surrounded by good freedom-loving people.

What a contrast:

On the one hand, one grandiose spectacle in the nation's capital, a panorama of propaganda put on by an aspiring autocrat.

On the other hand, thousands of assemblies of free citizens across the nation, authentic celebrations of the proposition that here the people rule.

And just to draw out the logic here: Trump's goal is to stoke an environment of such enormous fear that immigrants leave the U.S, to avoid the risk of being trapped in a hellish prison camp for life, and the threat that similar tactics will be deployed on U.S. citizens keeps the rest of us in line
