Its not monsters from outer space
Its humans scraping the bottom floor and sucking up every life form that exists, leaving nothing
Fish often in vain flee for their lives
Also releases 370 million metric tons of planet-warming c02 every year, roughly same as running 100 coal power plants

The Amazon rainforest emerges as the new global oil frontier
Half a century of oil drilling has left the Amazon rainforest scarred -and a new wave of fossil fuel extraction is coming
"In 2023, Ecuador burned off 1.6 billion cubic metres of gas in oil operations in the Amazon, an amount more than triple the countryβs total annual gas consumption, according to data analysis based on SkyTruth Flaring, a platform that employs satellite imagery to identify flaring."

Just heard that Trump is putting an end to atmospheric monitoring site NY67 that is run out of my lab. This is one of the oldest NADP sites in the US, continually measuring acid rain and other pollutants since 1977. Closing it down is tragic.

Last Tuesday, I was set to give a talk on 'climate change in the Northeast' at a retirement home but had to cancel due to hourly job threats.
After nearly two weeks of overwhelming uncertainty, today it happened. I was fired from my dream of working at NOAA. I'm so sorry to everyone also affected.

Many of the nations gathering in Rome for Cop16 have offered no plans to honour their agreement to protect 30% of land and sea for nature
Your 'moment of doom' for Feb. 24, 2025 ~ Dying in a corner of the sky.
"The findings add to growing fears of another decade of international failure on nature. Governments have never met a single target in the history of UN biodiversity agreements..."
