Made some final visual adjustments to the lighting to allow the hue to shift dynamically based on how deep you are. You can see how, in shallower waters, the lighting has a greenish tint, while the depths have a darker blue hue.

I'm avoiding using the built-in Unreal Engine volumetric lighting because it doesn't align with the current game's art direction.
However, it makes it very difficult to find tutorials online since everyone assumes you want real-time lighting.

This is just plain uncanny. I don't have any formal blurb for this other than the fact that I was experimenting with the surface for Ocean Visuals. Somehow using this more realistic look gives me this odd Gmod-esc uncanny valley feeling

When trying to tell my concept artist what I want for a creature, I open Paint and start rambling for 2 hours straight while doodling until I pass out or the artist dies in the process.

Working on getting this lil jelly fella in the engine! Gonna try to see if I can rig the tendrils and set up some IK motion, since I know that'll be something we 100% will use down the line for bigger creatures, and it should give a more "natural" feel
