I recently had my microblading done, so Iโ€™ve been walking around with a generous layer of Vaseline on my eyebrows. Instead of explaining the shine, Iโ€™ve just let people silently wonder if Iโ€™ve discovered a bold new beauty trend. Iโ€™m not correcting them - Itโ€™s far more fun this way ๐Ÿ˜„

Apple have asked her to get it checked out at her local store tomorrow. Iโ€™ll mention the battery replacement idea - Sheโ€™s away at uni and pretty relaxed about it, but I canโ€™t help worrying it might catch fire while sheโ€™s asleep ๐Ÿ˜Ÿ

The graphic is titled โ€œAutism: PDA Profileโ€ by Dr. Megan Anna Neff.

โ€ข	In the centre, it reads โ€œAt a Glanceโ€ and โ€œPDA Profile,โ€ with an icon of the autism spectrum puzzle piece.
โ€ข	Around this centre text, six points are arranged in a circle, each explaining a key aspect of Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA):
	1.	Perceived loss of autonomy can trigger an extreme threat response.
	2.	Hierarchy can feel threatening; children may try to โ€œco-teachโ€ or โ€œco-parentโ€ to equalise relationships.
	3.	PDA is described as a nervous system disability that can present both internally and externally.
	4.	Individuals may use social strategies as part of avoidance (e.g., distraction, refusal, role play).
	5.	They may appear sociable on the surface, which can delay recognition of autism.
	6.	They resist and avoid ordinary demands in daily life.
โ€ข	The bottom of the infographic reads โ€œNeurodivergent Insights.โ€

PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance) is an autism profile where everyday requests can trigger overwhelming anxiety - often misread as stubbornness. My son has PDA, and while it brings its own set of challenges, it also highlights his distinctive way of engaging with life.

Oh, I didnโ€™t even have to win - just celebrating a move was enough for the pieces to go flying! Walked away, which made him realise heโ€™d overreacted, and he was super apologetic.
