No disagreement here, if you can't win your case your best bet is delay. But (theoretically) the law cares about due process, which means some bad people may also benefit.

They're asking for more time due to recent discovery provided by the government, not because he replaced his attorneys again (it appears they're the same folks from October).

On its face the request looks reasonable. I'd guess the court grants it. The court would reject it if it became a pattern. Also, if for example he tried it again, they'd ask what happened to all the steps counsel was alleging to take in this motion.

Can you just pass a new emergency bill to cover DC in the interim, and keep passing them until America kicks these fools out of power?

Schools are the symtomps of the larger problem, DC's inability to clear the sidewalks & roads.

But, I'm not sure it's fixable bec (1) we rarely get this much snow, we won't invest in dealing with it and (2) this snow situation followed by a week of sub freezing temps is unprecedented.

Also, most of the "plowed" DC streets that aren't major roads are now basically one way streets. I can't see how a normal morning commute could work.
