It's so good. It's framed as a memoir, so you get these huge set pieces seen through a pinhole lens, but the narrator has the freedom to look back through time and fill in the gaps. It's all the best parts of WH40k, the Expanse, and Kingkiller.

Maybe it's just how the volumes are broken up across omnibuses, but I was ready to leave Alabasta well before we did. Ending was impactful, just felt like the Crocodile fights dragged on. Bon Clay was a sleeper hit, love that goober.
