When I was a kid, there was an AM oldies station that played old rock and roll in mono. It sounded impossibly old and boring compared to synth-heavy 80s pop.

Based on the previews, I’ve been waiting months for the “crew turns into Vulcans” episode of Strange New Worlds for months.

In all seriousness, I think part of the impact is that many of the things the villain does are what a child might pretend is magic. Simple and compelling.

My pet theory for when this happens: we’re all randomly drifting through slightly different parallel realities without realizing it. All that stuff happened, but not where you currently are.

Corollary: we all have perfect memories! Some of us just encounter more reality churn than others…

My family really liked tonight's episode. Maybe a little self-congratulatory, but not bad.

My bigger concern with the puppet episode is it'll inevitably invite comparisons to Angel's "Smile Time", and that's a hard episode to top...

Is this actually a policy Trump has the power to set? AFAIK there are currently cases in the courts where tech is not winning; if it gets to the Supreme Court and they bow down to Trump then I guess he gets what he wants. But it's not something he can declare by fiat right now, is it?
