Strangely, people are jammed on Chain of Lakes despite that road having lower traffic. Unfortunately, the increase is right through GG Park, not along the shoreline.

There were indeed impacts. Chain of Lakes is now a major artery, with a 21% increase in traffic. And both ends dump out into the neighborhoods.

I don't believe "fuck all for housing" is germain to the discussion at hand. Rather, it's quality of life that transit impacts. Removal of that corridor put the burden on the West Side residents, but the eastern part of the city isn't flocking to the Sunset Dunes weekdays. We already had weekends.

Wasn't lost on me that the western half of SF voted no on the Great Highway park, while the further-away eastern half voted yes. People that actually live there were not in favor.
