Probably depend on day of week and time of year too but not morning peak! You've set a precedent now anyway!

And that is the question! Connections, Networks, Joining the . . . . has to be the priority for the cycling part of the Sligo Local Transport Plan! Most of the people we need to listen are still in the old place though so we'll have to write letters!

That is so disappointing! Obviously Lidl have no overall national policy on this as one of the 2 Sligo branches has the best bike parking of all 4 supermarkets here

When the people get off the bus at that stop where do they go? There doesn't seem to be a footpath beside the cycle path at that point

In Dublin do Bleeper & Moby move their bikes from say busy morning to busy evening areas like Dublin Bikes does? It is certainly a positive to have Bolt here but they don't work for time sensitive trips like a train or an appointment as there is no guarantee a bike will be available

We didn't think they did redistribution, definitely not in Sligo. Distribution depends on riders. We understand that as the system is not subsidised it wouldn't be viable to move the bikes by a van & operator. Obviously they get moved for maintenance but we think that's it.

We were delighted to get another opportunity today at the Climate Celebration to let the young participants know what we do & to distribute rechargeable bike lights kindly sponsored by #HealthySligo. They went like hot cakes!

Great framing of cycling in a broader context, it's not just about cycle lanes and not just about commuting either. Love the neighbourhood angle! @unalestrange.bsky.social @daveysean.bsky.social @lucyhayes.bsky.social

What an interesting article! Sounds like Cork is a very happening place for cycling but we will certainly be going for the train option to Little Island! Dunkettle reminds us of the roundabout formerly known as The Mad Cow! A loop with added ferry and a market at the end Looks like a winner!

Wow Ed! What an asset to Navan Cycling to have someone with your creative talent involved! You are selling your Greenways and you so are so right re the lack of mapping as part of marketing. It's like as if the authorities think "Sure didn't we build it!, what more do they want"

πŸ‘Ger Herbert for almost single-handedly taking on the role in print, broadcast & sm of explaining what is changing re speed limits and why & when! The point re "Hey! People live on these roads & sometimes need to go about their lives on πŸšΆπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸš² πŸ‘©β€πŸ¦Ό 🚌 not necessarily in πŸš˜πŸš—" was very well made

Yes agreed! Unfortunately another publisher of numerous regional newspapers allowed a shockingly inaccurate headline to accompany its digital editions. The factual info on how to identify the different road categories is most useful. We know" the road to town" or "Granny's road" not the L1234
