Yikes!

Yesterday, I was laying down w/ 3YO to try & get him to sleep for nap-time. I was closing my eyes & feel a little finger poke in my forehead. I open my eyes & he goes “Now there’s a booger on your forehead.” 😝

Sitka attacks the regular vacuum so I can only imagine a robot one.

I literally just got home from buying another vacuum after Waldo chewed the power cord on my month old vacuum. I looked at that one & went nah the dogs & toddler would destroy a robot vacuum. 🤣

It was for surgery. But generally sugar in black coffee is allowed because it dissolves anyways. Some places just have more strict rules even if it’s not even accurate.

Wait, I missed the weird skin biopsy. What happened? If it makes you feel better, I’m waiting on lab results that could find anything from a simple hereditary condition to a really rare condition that’s only been acknowledged since 2016. 😬😬🫠

Talking to my Dad on the phone yesterday. Him: “You caught me at just the right time. I just finished stretching & light weights. I was just about to go ride 9 miles on the stationary bike.” He’s in his 70’s. Genetically, what happened to me?! 🤣😩

Prefer the sun but also enjoy the snow sports. Haha Can’t have it all.

Girl, my big kids were excited to see the moon this morning before school. I was like ohhh kids, you’ll be seeing that for like 16+ hours a day pretty soon. 🥲

My 10YO paired a computer keyboard to be a remote control for our TV. I didn’t even know you could do that. He’s always doing stuff w/ electronics like this. He’s in a tech/coding club at school, but suggestions for other activities?

You’re soooo woke caring about others. *sarcasm*. I can’t believe we have come to a point where anyone in society thinks not giving healthcare based on citizenship status is acceptable. The very people Jesus literally calls us to care for, marginalized ones. My heart is heavy.

I was going to mention this! I know of this, but didn’t realize others had a similar concept w/ diff names.

I can’t allow myself to imagine doctors and nurses turning away bleeding out or having a seizure bc they’re not a citizen.

They’d be forced to racially profile people & there would be lawsuits from that. They’d also have people suing claiming care was delayed while their status was checked even tho they’re citizens. The current system isn’t built to support denying care based on citizenship, thankfully.

Ultimately, I think it comes down to the individuals in the ED. They’ll determine triaging & I have a hard time foreseeing them being like sorry you’re bleeding out while Amy from admissions verifies your citizenship status. The extra liability that adds to hospitals should also scare them.
