Did wish they emphasized their EQuIS more - they need to do as much as possible to reduce friction contractors encounter when submitting data given what a huge boon EQuIS is for the general public and their staff.

Requires contractors to add a bunch more stuff to analytical tables - also loved seeing this, hopefully it'll give the MPCA's site managers more context when reviewing reports. I think this was mainly done to make it easier for MN's sites to be listed on the EPA NPL.

Formally requires contractors to start validating analytical chemistry results - they may run into issues with this because the MPCA's validation guidance is ambiguous around a large set of QC failures. Hope their site managers are doing some kind of backup QC.

All #PFAS detections in soil are gonna be treated as groundwater threats given MN's super low drinking water criteria and the chemical's high mobility in the environment - loved seeing this because MPCA hasn't updated their criteria for evaluating soil-to-groundwater leaching since 2013. 2013!

MPCA released new guidance yesterday regarding soil/water investigations at MERLA sites, i.e., sites polluted with stuff other than petroleum or pesticides/fertilizer. Items I thought most interesting:
