Unfortunately, in US journalism it is considered neutral to spread a lie, but it is considered "biased" to call out a lie. So, there is a structural asymmetry that rewards colorful lies with virality.

I know I haven't posted, but Thurs & Fri were spent cleaning. Friday night was Friendsgiving. Went to bed at 3 ugh. Saturday went to art fair, walked 4 miles ick. Went to sleep at 1. Haven't eaten a healthy thing in days. Gonna make a smoothie for that soon. My legs are so sore.

This is an old post, but I have Thoughts: An example of this is the Sunset Limited: Jacksonville to Los Angeles. A bridge was wiped out around Mobile, AL during Hurricane Katrina, and after 20 yrs, the gov't still doesn't think it's worth fixing. That's the fucking shame of it all.

The holiday is here and I can relax for a few days, which hopefully means I'll be online more. No plans for today, except cleaning, and hamburgers for dinner: mine and @ptgt1999.bsky.social's Thanksgiving tradition. Tomorrow is friendsgiving w/ his friends, here. Lots to do to get ready!
