Day 1461, which is 365 x4, plus one for the leap year.
Russia thought we would not see Day 4, western leaders thought 4 weeks was overly ambitious.
But Ukraine refused to surrender and each and every day I've documented it:

21.02.2026 20:34 โ ๐ 1612 ๐ 458 ๐ฌ 17 ๐ 0Itโs a safe bet to assume they donโt understand the underlying reasons for the loss of legitimacy, donโt have a realistic plan to restore trust, but are using it as an excuse to pursue their preferred priorities. In some cases, the people pointing to declining trust have contributed directly to the assault on institutions as critics, and will further weaken organizational legitimacy as failed stewards of the institutions they are charged with leading. Donโt fall for the trust trap.
So whats the lesson? Beware people bemoaning declining trust in institutions. Taking them at face value is likely an error, giving them your help a foolโs errand. Don't fall for the trust trap.

Each has used the trust trap: they bemoan a loss in institutional legitimacy as a justification for radical actions that further undercut trust in their institutions. ๐งต
