The crowd was so big that it filled the street all the way past the post office. (With some gaps for marching.) I've never seen so many people out for a protest. It was very slow getting home on my trike. And there are also protests all over the Valley and up in the hilltowns, too, today.

Today my daily visiting woodpecker and young ones returned to chip at the dying tree full of insects. But today there is no food because there is no tree. No fire risk, just LOA aesthetics deemed it must be removed. It was all I could do to save the living trees... I hate this place.
