Would you be open to me ordering a Sample Platter for the short-lived 2002 block, Slam!? I don't need you to watch every episode aired on it. But I've been fascinated by it's existence for decades and there's no analysis on it anywhere.

Age verification? First movie I saw in theatres was the 1993 re-release of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. I was only two but I've been told I was mesmerized watched the entire thing.

My friend's four year old remembers it as "Luke, I will be your father", so she's developed a whole separate narrative how Darth Vader is going to adopt Luke Skywalker.

Because Lawrence was just sharing a thought to an audience. There's no direct plan or anything. But it's a headline that trends easily. For most people it feels like an emotional thing. "Resurrect this magical person for me". And I think it's reckless to put that type of desire out into the world.

Williams put a restriction on his likeness being manipulated for 25 years after his death. A family member was directly asked about this years ago and wasn't okay with the AI voice idea or ethics around it. I wish people would do some research before openly floating ideas about things like this.

I have some important questions about these old movies you like

It was fascinating seeing the grifters try to launch the FF hate campaign around "female Silver Surfer" because they knew they couldn't get away a Snow White or Brave New World style racist hate campaign towards Pascal's casting since nerds fell in love with him before they could be told not to.

It is the best for them and the industry. Neither movie is sucking all the oxygen out of the room. These two will help theatres, their studios and genre without everything relying on them making all of the money. This has been a pretty balanced year in terms of different types of movies succeeding.

Was it a "I'm older than I used to be so things that feel different to me now seem like failures" take?

They didn't force conflict between them. They're a family, that will come up naturally. What they nailed for me that no other adaptation got before, was that these characters love each other. You could feel the love all throughout the movie. I couldn't believe I was finally seeing it done so well!

After that happened, someone in the HR department where I worked at the time posted that we were at least Trump being honest in that clip as opposed to Hillary who lied all the time.

It was crazy how many projects were being developed at that time (Mort the Dead Teenager?). I remember Avi Arad's endless announcements for movies that never got further than an announcement (Ray Park as Iron Fist, etc).

Did you ever see the Mark Hamill directed Comic Book: The Movie? That really captures the weird fan energy of a moment where comic book movies were starting to be popular but you had no clue of how much they'd keep from the source material.

Because it's exciting and new.

I've never been able to fully stay awake through that movie to notice. And I've tried numerous times because I always feel like there should be some hidden quality there for me to discover. But no.

That's a good comparison! The influence is undeniable. It leaves a permanent impact on those who discover it before a certain stage of life. But it didn't cross over into the mainstream, before things that pulled from it did.

I couldn't narrow down a quarter century to just 10 movies so I gave myself parameters. Only animated features (they'd be underrepresented) released since I turned 18 (2009).

This list still feels like it's missing a lot of greats!
