I had a misfire on the latest batch of homemade bacon. I left the cure on too long before rinsing it off and I ended up with a savory version of the "country" ham I remember growing up with. Very salty with savory undertones. The kids didn't like it this morning, but I'll be enjoying it for a while.

The Orioles will end up being sellers and still likely play around .500 ball the rest of the way. Just enough to wonder what might have been had the new ownership cashed in some of that goodwill and bought some starting pitching.

AU Athletics Box office was a ticketmaster outlet when I worked there. Occasionally could get good to great seats to different events, but had to set it up early and make arrangements.
