After I had radiation for BC, doc was looking at HBOT for skin issues. At the clinic, they told me not to stop for gas before I got there, cuz the least vapor left on my skin/hair would catch fire. I couldn't have a book in the tube for the same reason. Luckily, insurance denied it. (I'm fine).

I think it was a lot of pressure from businesses, too. They didn't want to pay for upgraded air systems, PPE, additional sick leave, or allow remote work, etc. Plus a lot of people wanted kids back in school.

That's insane.

I had a pulmonary function test 3 wks ago. I still mask (never had COVID). The tech asked if I was masking to protect him or me - if it was him, I shouldn't bother, 'cuz he's had COVID 3x & it's just part of life now. No thought to those he's maybe exposing while testing them for *lung issues.*🤦‍♀️

It's outdated *now,* but it *was* used for many years. I'm younger than RFK Jr, but I remember the JDF (since renamed). Kids I knew in school were dx'd with JD, not T1D. I just had societal awareness - I suspect RFK Jr had never heard of it because it hadn't penetrated the bubble he lived in.
