We’re not supposed to joke about someone’s appearance, but Milei looks like Alfred E. Neuman if he grew up, got a silly wig, and “what me worry??”-ed into billions of $$$ of bailouts from his malicious goofball buddy.

Ms. Jenkins, I’ve generally respected and agreed with what you have to say, going back to your days at the Washington Post. You are simply wrong here.

Blue states should come together to declare an emergency. Here’s how | Thomas Geoghegan States opposed to Trump can create a compact – a new prototype for American government – even if it’s perceived as political theater

This is a very smart idea that I hope @governorferguson.bsky.social is examining closely.

SCOOP — Part of the reason Disney/ABC may have rushed to sort things out with Kimmel is because tomorrow they have a planned price increase for Disney+ streaming, a Disney source tells me. With subscriptions hemorrhaging since last week, they couldn’t risk losing more users with this announcement.

Hopefully Dems take the lesson that prioritizing Israel is risky.

A representative for GWAR told The Post, "Normalizing violence? Humans don't need GWAR for that. There is nothing normal about the Looney Toon violence acted out on a GWAR stage. GWAR is absurdist spectacle. GWAR is to violence what the New York Post is to journalism. Ridiculous."

The reason why the FP sold for so much — relative to its small output — is because it has a world view that is embraced by a readership of very wealthy people. Weiss isn't anti-establishment. She comforts the comfortable.

I think it’s worth noting this piece generated the most unsubscribes I’ve seen in a while, and the newsletter version had the lowest open rate in many months. These horrors persist in part because too many people go to great pains to avoid them.

Without immediate intervention, the last reporters in Gaza will die
July 21, 2025

AFP has been working with 1 writer, 3 photographers and 6 videographers, all freelance, in the Gaza Strip since its staff journalists left in 2024.

Along with a few others, they are now the only ones left to report what is happening in the Gaza Strip. The international press has been banned from entering the territory for nearly two years.

We refuse to watch them die.

One of them, Bashar, has been working with AFP since 2010, first as a fixer, then freelance photographer, and since 2024, as lead photographer. On July 19th he managed to post a message on Facebook: “I no longer have the strength to work for the media. My body is thin and I can’t work anymore.”

Bashar, 30, works & lives in the same conditions as all Gazans, moving from one refugee camp to another under Israeli bombings. For > a year he’s lived in utter destitution, working at extreme risk to his life. Hygiene is a major issue for him, with recurring bouts of severe intestinal illness.

Since Feb, Bashar’s been living in the ruins of his home in Gaza City with his mother, 4 brothers & sisters and the family of one of his brothers. Their house is devoid of any furnishings, except a few cushions. On Sunday morning, he reported that one of his brothers had “fallen, due to hunger.”

Even though these journalists receive a monthly salary from AFP, it’s no longer enough to buy food, or they have to pay completely exorbitant prices. The banking system has collapsed, and those who exchange money via online bank accounts charge a commission of up to 40%.

AFP no longer has the ability to provide them with a vehicle and there is not enough fuel to allow these journalists to travel for their reporting. Driving a car means becoming a target for Israeli airstrikes. AFP reporters therefore travel on foot or by donkey cart. (alt txt continued in next post)

A horrifying statement published today by the Editorial Committee of the Agence France-Presse (AFP) news agency.

Today, Joe Rogan said: “Did you see the WaPo piece? They found that we’re in a cooling period…a very ‘inconvenient’ discovery, but they had to report the data—and kudos to them for doing that.”

I'd love to know how WaPo found that cooling period and, even more importantly, where they hid it.

Max Boot supported the Iraq invasion in 2003, and anyone who promoted that should not be part of the public discourse on entering a war now with Iran.

The cruelty in today's politics feels horribly corrosive. Bringing up that hard-working immigrant families — undocumented, yes, but not violent criminals — are being ripped apart based on immigration status doesn't bring compassion or even pause, but gleeful cheers.

Nothing inaccurate here. But ABC doesn’t want to offend someone. I wonder how Peter Jennings would have fared in this era.

This is extremely significant. Former 🇮🇱 Prime Minister Ehud Olmert (2006-9) wrote in a May 22 Haaretz op-ed that Israel is:

🔴 intentionally waging a war of annihilation
🔴 premeditatedly adopting a policy of starvation
🔴 massacring civilians
🔴 making declarations of genocide

That’s a low bar. If Booker does something stupid we can yell at him. He’ll keep doing it if we don’t. (PS: tell him to stay off the AIPAC crack! It’ll rot your brain and your vote!)

Confirming this guy for Ambassador is basically implementing Project 2025. Booker talks, but when it’s time to use the power he actually has he takes the wrong side. NJ can find someone better.
