Cabbage soup

So I just batch cooked about a dozen portions of cabbage soup. In many ways I'm just chasing my loss, and I am not looking forward to the house smelling like the inside of a colostomy bag all week from cabbage farts. It was some cabbage though.

I must admit I largely bought it because of the low low price of €1.80. It felt like a balloon filled with concrete and impressed me greatly. Turns out it was €1.80 *per kilogram* and weighed 3.5kg. Included it in one meal and barely made a dent.

Accents and dialects are fascinating to me (I'm a bore). In Ireland, with someone speaking English, you can typically tell they're from within maybe 20KM radius. I am aware of the broad British English language accents as well. What fascinates me is if Spanish speakers can do the same.

My OH is from Madrid and I ask this question *constantly*. Seems like there are regional accents from around Spain and of course the rest of the Spanish speaking world. But within Madrid - with a population the size of Ireland - there are no accents to denote suburb or social background. Wild.
