My most recent major software purchase was JetBrains Rider, which makes its value proposition so obvious that if you just hear about it and you work in tech you know why you would want it.

It is just incredible that they are trying to make this into a real problem when "wait which one is a second cousin and which one is a cousin once removed" is the sort of thing that can derail an entire Thanksgiving dinner into a two hour definition discussion
