The erosion from the spill over of Pen Green Lakes into Willow's Brook is a nightmare for those along Stevie Way, #Corby. Let's look to rewild the area to help flood defences, increase biodiversity, and ensure integrity of people's gardens.

🚆The Welland Valley rail extension could provide much needed public train access to Leicester and Lincolnshire via Peterborough thus opening up big opportunities for those in #Corby and throughout North Northants. I want us to really campaign this and invest in key opportunities to benefit everyone.

The Liberal Democrats take the climate emergency very seriously, this our action plan to tackle climate change locally.

This month we celeberate Black History! This started in 1987, recognised as the African Jubilee, and was the 150th anniversary of Carribean Emancipation. How are you celebrating Black History month and what activists have inspired you?

People shouldn’t be turned into criminals just because they can’t have a digital ID, or choose not to.

We will fight tooth and nail to oppose these plans for a mandatory Digital ID.

We're sad to hear of the passing of Sir Menzies 'Ming' Campbell. A great servant to the party and the people of East Fife, the Flying Scotsman will be remembered by us all.

#Corby faces issues with publicly discarded needles. I propose sharps bins near parks and busy areas to prevent harm, especially to children. With non-judgemental access and targeted outreach, we can protect everyone in our community and make our streets safer—let’s work together.

Mattresses are one of the most common and difficult items that are fly tipped in and around Corby. Once water logged they're a nightmare to deal with. I talk through that and advocate for a mattress collection service to help remove these common blights on our green spaces in #Corby

Corby offered chance to lead on mental health Corby has been invited to join a new national initiative to make councils “mentally healthier”, and councillors are being urged not to miss the opportunity.

Today, parliament debates retaining the legal right to assessment and support in education for children with SEND. The major concern around this is DfE will only commit to 'some sort of support' with parents rightfully worried that rights will be stripped away. Let's hope the MPs fight for our kids

Today is the beginning of the battle for #SEND children everywhere. The #LibDems have five principles for SEND Reform which is desperately needed for both the children and thier families.

Let's take the fear out of our childrens education—let’s build inclusive, local SEND systems together.

Key steps: early nursery screening for neurodivergence; shift transport funding to boost local school provision; clear EHCP comms & KPIs; cross-functional EHCP teams; and accountability for schools failing to deliver support.

Whilst Reform strikes people off the house list, the #Corby Liberal Democrats have the positive plan for housing! We will build the homes we need, where we need them including reforming the poor Keyways system for finding homes, and £16m into council housing.

In a month's time, #HarvestFestival2025 let's come together as a community to help donate in the Food Drive for #CorbyFoodbank. We invite everyone to help provide in the foodbank's most called upon time to help families in need throughout #Corby.

Given the sad reality that the Reform Administration has given up on the #ClimateEmergency, we're here just to remind you that the #NorthNorthamptonshire Liberal Democrats have not! We have a positive plan to tackle the climate emergency.
