It's not anecdotal. The polling shows that people under 30 are the most antisemitic group (note they used classical definitions not Israel views as a proxy) by a large margin and it's mostly independent of party.

I think that president is for good reason the baseline. Also Gallego won by both distancing himself from the party and running against an absolute psycho.

If Hobbs got half of the NJ swing she'd be down by two. Trump won AZ by six.

I think that part of the issue is that the broader subject of "transgender rights" like a lot of civil rights disputes covers a bunch of different issues that voters feel differently about so depending on the particular thing in the news voters will respond differently.

Maybe there is some deficiency with the pleading but this seems to me to be an incorrectly narrow view of what constitutes expressive speech.

I can't emphasize enough how much the story the media sold to people during the election was that he was only going to deport like gang super assassins. Yes these people should have scrutinized what he actually said but if you only read headlines this would indeed be surprising.
