Even on my postdoc wages i don't even cover the cost of inflation every month, it's ridiculous and I'll never realistically pay it back fully, or have any motivation to do so
Regret to inform that getting up early to run to work was both refreshing and healthy

Flew with KLM, they lost my luggage, but a week later found it. However since it's damaged (by them) and now leaking they can't send it back to me and will thus "dispose" of it. -_-
I'm so sick of discourse from supposed allies about where trans people went wrong.
Where we "went wrong" is that billionaires spent unimaginably large sums to attack us repeatedly and major media outlets have spent a decade piling on.
Found out I'm featured on my tattoo artist's website so that's my smile for the day sorted 🥰🥰

Glazed mug decorated to look like a barbers pole - the lines are poorly constructed and the paint is unevenly applied. The white stripes are speckled and off-putting. An accurate reflection of the artist

A chart of "Major concerns of PhD candidates." The top text says, "Financial pressures top the list of concerns faced by PhD candidates, but concerns differ among the sexes. Those studying in the United States rank the political landscape as their main worry." The chart shows that in the full survey, political landscape is the biggest concern for about 20% of students (a bit higher for women than men) but there's an annotation saying "In US PhD students, this rose to 64%". Overall, the highest-rated concern was financial pressures at around 40%.
That's quite the chart annotation.

On the morning of Keir Starmer's conference speech here's a new post on an odd psychopathology in British politics - our main parties don't like the people who vote for them - the dreaded Professional Managerial Class. And so they are acting out like a divorced dad seeking cooler voters. 1/n
