I know nothing about Brännström other than that’s bounced around the league for a while. You’re probably right, they’re a throw-in to let VCR have wiggle room under the 50 contract limit.

Agreed, Miller gives them 3 decent centres without any of them being truly elite. He is an upgrade on Chytil this season, but we’ll need a crystal ball to see if that is still the case in 2 years.
I could see Mika continuing to get the shutdown role, but $8.5M is a lot for that role.

Just waking up to the news that JT Miller is back at #NYR. In the end, the price wasn’t too bad. There are legitimate concerns over Chytil’s health and as much as I was impressed by Mancini, the two new dmen are better at this stage. Plus there is Fortescue and Emery on the way.

So in 0-0 #NHL game after OT, do both goalies get credited with a Shutout, or is it only the SO winner?

The #NYRangers have played better at 5-5 recently, maybe since Christmas? The special teams have let them down. They’ve needed a low penalty game against a poor opponent to build confidence.

And the Chytil butt-shot goal gives Kaiser a -1. All #Blackhawks skaters have been on the ice for at least 1 #NYR goal.

And of course he then scores. He’s currently a +1 for the game.

Wyatt Kaizer is the only skater for #Blackhawks who hasn’t been on the ice for a #NYRangers goal.

The Zibanejad line is having a game. 93, 91, 23 & 55 have been on the ice for the CHI goal and 3 #NYRanger goals.
