This will lead to Florida universities dropping in rankings and that will lead to a β€œanti-woke” college ranking website or a billionaire buying all existing college ranking institutions

Having a giant skull on your shirt used to mean you hated authority. Now it means you really really like authority.

The amount of compute power to make this even close to real time would be astronomical. I guarantee making this β€œdemo” probably took a day or two of rendering prompts and then editing them together.

They are playing off people’s ignorance about AI. In reality this probably required days of scripting and typing 500+ of the most racist prompts you could ever imagine

I’m generally referring to the LLM leads to AGI hypothesis. But specifically, from OpenAI:β€œEarly testers highlighted its analytical rigor as a thought partner and emphasized its ability to generate and critically evaluate novel hypothesesβ€”particularly within biology, math, and engineering contexts.”

They said LLMs will somehow cure cancer and now that is pretty much the only way they could make enough revenue to justify this bubble

The real irony is that Medicare for all is the only thing that would allow adults to experience a 3 month summer vacation again without going bankrupt

It’s a great time to cancel your Disney plus subscription. You already watched Andor and all the movies are free at your library. The PBS kids app is way better for your child’s brain as well.

I always say that the real bipartisan deal we need to heal the country is Medicare for all in exchange for 10 publicly funded Tim Allen movies that all critics have to say they like. The left and the right would both get what they really want/need.

β€˜Can You Print a House?’: God, Robots and the U.S. Housing Crisis

3d printed houses always wow people who don’t know anything about building houses. All they do is replace the step of framing in the walls. You still need dozens of other skilled trades people to actually make it a house.

I think the feeling of a brain hating something might be the feeling of learning. As an adult we rarely have to experience it anymore so I understand why some people would find it uncomfortable. I used to suck at reading then I practiced and got better
