Well I certainly wasn’t insulting you.I wasn’t (originally)even replying to you,so much as to the whole thread of people seemingly refusing to define terms I had never heard. It’s bad online etiquette IMO to just say “Google it” (I’m not saying you said that but some did).Easier to just define it!

People in this thread should not be criticised for not ever having heard the term NPC. I’ve no idea what it means. I’ve never played a computer game, which I infer it’s to do with. The assumptions in this thread about a homogenous culture are terrifying.

Too judgemental. Some people don’t own a mobile or a computer. (I do).
These facilities are far from universal among people over 70 (approximately).

Such a thread of judgemental views. I’m educated up to the bloody hilt and have still not ever heard the term. After this appallingly inward looking thread I still don’t know what it stands for. There IS no common culture. We need to stop pretending there is.

I agree. I’ve never gamed in my life. I’m 73 and well educated. I’ve worked my way through this tiresome thread and I’ve still no idea , having never heard the term and don’t know its meaning.
