not all women do recover from this and you will find them out there as well, and they may even be those people who don't seem to understand why women would want to be liberated (not that this venn diagram is a circle at all, mind you)

further youll find that most women do indeed want a man who is nice to them, just as you probably want someone who is nice to you. women who want men to be hostile to them or not disrespect them tend to have past issues with men who have misused them and eventually recover (i am one of these people)

a man can actually be dominant and "nice" and "docile" to women at the same time. i think youd be very interested to meet a man like that and they do exist, and i date them primarily

it's true that a lot of women like dominant men, and i am one of them, but youll find that isn't the case of all women or even most women, and that that also has nothing to do with what feminists want out of men, which is to not be systematically oppressed or dehumanized

18.06.2025 16:49 — 👍 0    🔁 0    💬 2    📌 0

well, it's worth noting that not having people to fuck is not oppression. i think youll also find this is another major understanding gap between you and feminists. feminists view sexuality with a lot more nuance, whereas that view is very flat and broad which makes it simplistic

the word limit on this platform is really making it difficult to lay all this out; i hope you can understand there are some gaps in the things i am saying

18.06.2025 15:56 — 👍 0    🔁 0    💬 1    📌 0

it's also worth noting that the objectification of women as a basis a reduction in their rights *also leads to an ideology of objectifying men* under opposite standards. this is why feminists see the patriarchy as still responsible for things like the draft

18.06.2025 15:55 — 👍 0    🔁 0    💬 1    📌 0

the thing is, objectification of women will always be taboo because of the long history associated with this as a basis for oppression, even if we lived in a country that has complete parity between men and women

18.06.2025 15:53 — 👍 0    🔁 0    💬 1    📌 0

i think something we can do to gain more common ground is eschew the notion that this is about current lapses in women's rights or the current patriarchy. that's something i don't necessarily agree with but it doesn't really matter

18.06.2025 15:53 — 👍 0    🔁 0    💬 1    📌 0

the draft is also unethical, yes

18.06.2025 15:34 — 👍 0    🔁 0    💬 0    📌 0

well im from america, i can see from your other comment that perhaps you aren't. even america has made great strides with women's rights, but the objectification of women is still a taboo because of the long, oppressive history behind it

18.06.2025 15:33 — 👍 0    🔁 0    💬 1    📌 0

that's a basic understanding of it and that is objectification in some ways, but this is not really what feminists are talking about. it's about living in a culture that accepts sexual assault, living in a world where women are denied individual personhood on the basis of their sex, etc

18.06.2025 15:29 — 👍 0    🔁 0    💬 1    📌 0

the objectification of women is not really even the problem on its face, which is why it is not as important with men. the problem with objectification is that women face discrimination and danger because we live in a culture that uses objectification to deny women rights and human status

18.06.2025 15:25 — 👍 0    🔁 0    💬 1    📌 0

alright, that's fair. i think you may find it's because you are not really arguing with me in good faith. you are seeking reasons to discredit the things im saying. the thing is, you do not seem to understand what objectification actually is. thinking a person has great tits is not objectification

18.06.2025 15:23 — 👍 0    🔁 0    💬 2    📌 0

no, it's just that i thought for some reason that you may be having a conversation with me to actually understand what im saying

18.06.2025 15:19 — 👍 0    🔁 0    💬 1    📌 0

oh ok, that's where you're coming from. well this conversation is over. you should talk to some women close to you about their experiences with objectification

18.06.2025 15:16 — 👍 0    🔁 0    💬 1    📌 0

i just listed a bunch of reasons they harm women. that's why i said all that stuff

18.06.2025 15:12 — 👍 0    🔁 0    💬 1    📌 0

i was a man for a long time. these kind of comments were rarely used against me, never weaponized against me, never threatened my safety, my ability to protect myself, or my rights. this is what people are talking about with the harms of objectifying women. they do not apply to men

18.06.2025 15:09 — 👍 0    🔁 0    💬 1    📌 0

sure, if that helps

18.06.2025 15:04 — 👍 0    🔁 0    💬 1    📌 0

also worth noting that this is not dehumanizing like the objectification of women and it is hardly objectification at all

18.06.2025 15:03 — 👍 0    🔁 0    💬 1    📌 0

it's just bc there's a long history of objectifying and dehumanizing women being written into law. with men it's not high stakes, it's basically just a joke that causes no harm. it's a double standard bc it's based on the old double standard

18.06.2025 15:02 — 👍 0    🔁 0    💬 2    📌 0

it is not a crime to objectify women

18.06.2025 14:54 — 👍 0    🔁 0    💬 1    📌 0

bejalvin actively encourages this on stage. they like beg people to fight and i literally watched a guy jump on stage and punch the vocalist

you don't think it's possible to get brain damage from amphetamines?

17.06.2025 15:20 — 👍 0    🔁 0    💬 0    📌 0

how can you make that assumption? you don't know anything about me lol

17.06.2025 15:15 — 👍 0    🔁 0    💬 1    📌 0

im referring to changes earlier than that since adhd was recognized in the 70s. i read a book that outlined them a long time ago but honestly i cant remember what they were specifically. my brain is pretty damaged from all the amphetamines that were forced on me because i was bad at school

17.06.2025 15:11 — 👍 0    🔁 0    💬 1    📌 0

amphetamines are more dangerous than coffee. i didn't think this was an unpopular opinion until today
