on a serious note, I'd graciously take any and all leads...I'm interested broadly in proteostasis in neurodegenerative diseases (especially rare diseases!) with experience in several model systems (C. elegans, mouse models, iPSC-derived cells)

shouting into the void: my first first-author primary research paper (1/2 of my dissertation work) was accepted for publication this week! also I'm defending my PhD in 3ish weeks!
here's hoping someone is still hiring postdocs out there *laughs nervously* π« π #academicsky

is there a (relatively simple) way to add a PTM to a protein structure in #pymol if the PTM is not supported by the PyTMs plugin?

Does anyone know how funds for F31 awards are disbursed to universities? If I have an active award, is it safe to conclude the funds have already been received by my institution, or do I need to be contacting people to ensure it's all been transferred?
Having trouble finding accurate info on this

never thought I'd get reviewer comments for my first first-author paper and my primary thought would be "wow, I would have been so much meaner to me if I was reviewing my paper"
but, thankful for kind and reasonable reviewers! π #academicsky

ordered pizza for dinner using my SO's account while he's at our friends' playing MTG only to realize ~45min later that he had set the delivery address to friends' house when my dinner arrived at their doorstep
now they are feasting on my Jet's pizza without me π«
