I had a pair of Northern Flickers visit the heated bird bath yesterday (poor photo from the kitchen of only one of them). I’ve only ever seen them travelling solo. Time to read up on their pair behaviour.

My jays come and do a "pew pew pew" screech for peanuts and I think they are saying thank you after with a "bloop bloop" kind of sound. Also down to a handful of peanuts in the big jar and need to restock.
