The data. Brutal imports of gold bars just in case they have to pay tariffs on them.

If you think a Norwegian de motu propio is going to give him a Nobel price, I have a bridge to sell.
Now, if that is the price of admission for not screwing Ukraine and Europe, I can see a way to buy the moron with it

Nope, today's talking point, and probably right.
No doubt that the economy is slowing down due to the crazy uncertainty we live in though.
03.03.2025 19:09 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0
The economy is slowing but the GDPNow from the Atlanta Fed is wrong. The root of their calculation mistake is mainly an accounting issue related to imports of gold (plus imports front running tariffs).

We are in an air pocket, a power vacuum filled with words, intentions and committees. These are the times when leaders show up and act, and the blabberati follow.
Or not, and we are royally screwed.

More words, intentions, preparations, consultations, blah blah blah. Europe is failing at its most perilous time because it is not taking decisive action.

WOW. After yesterdayβs Oval Office ambush of President Zelensky, Haltbakk Bunkers, one of Norwayβs leading marine fuel providers, announced that it will no longer refuel U.S. Navy vessels, urging other European firms to follow suit.
The United States is weaker and more isolated than ever.

Words. Not enough. This Sunday they have to take action. And whatever that action is, it has to speak volumes. Actions, not words.

One of my best friends is from a sleepy, wealthy small town in the south-west of Germany. He said, so many of my parentsβ neighbours are rich and bored, with little to complain about, and theyβve radicalised themselves at dinner parties and online. In their aimlessness, theyβve bonded over hate.
