Bro, I am sick, I have three batshit crazy dogs, AND I’m from the generation that hates answering the door even more than we hate answering the phone.

Yesterday afternoon a couple of teenagers came up to my door and rang the doorbell; I wasn’t feeling well so I didn’t answer the door and they left after a minute.

One of them came back today, knocked on the door, and then promptly turned around and left before I could even get downstairs.

It was my normal histamine-induced GI nonsense - no airway involvement, no itching or tingling, no rash or hives, my heartrate wasn’t even abnormally elevated. Just irrational anxiety turned up to 11 and none of my usual coping tricks worked.

(Yes I do have EpiPens in the house)

MCAS folks - I know one of the signs of anaphylaxis can be a sense of impending doom, but does that ever happen with just an ordinary “too much histamine UGH” MCAS flare?

I had an MCAS flare last night with a side of completely irrational panic attack and I did not enjoy the experience. 😬

Shipping is running behind this week because Feral Teenager and I came down with a stomach bug over the weekend. We’re both on the mend but it’ll likely be another day or two before things get back to normal.

THIS. And if you haven’t changed meds lately, check your pill bottles to see if you’re getting a different generic than usual. One particular manufacturer’s generic of Wellbutrin damn near killed me when it first hit the market and I’m still salty about it the better part of 20 years later.

Chrome diopside is what I expected emeralds to be like before I saw emeralds in real life. It’s just glorious.

During Covid lockdown, I decided to change my earrings every morning as a way to find joy - 5+ years later I’m still doing it. These new shinies from @wyrdingstudios.com are now in rotation (ok, front of the line, to be honest!) and the gift pair was lovely too.

Dog folks - got any recs for Kong stuffings that are long-lasting/challenging WITHOUT being frozen? One of my girls has a delicate stomach and can’t have cold things anymore, and she can empty an un-frozen peanut butter Kong in about 2.6 seconds. 😑

It’s like there’s a ghost booping my snoot. Constantly.

Do I need an exorcist?

Today’s migraine came with a completely new and utterly bizarre symptom: it feels like there’s something touching one tiny spot on the tip of my nose. Like a stray hair or something.

Except there’s absolutely nothing there. It goes away for a few seconds if I touch the spot but comes right back.
